I knew I wanted to marry Chizuru from the first time we met when she flew all the way for the first time in her life out of Japan to meet me in the UK.
Last Saturday the 22nd of April on a very sunny day we said our vows in front of the registrar and 4 friends as witnesses. We had a piece of paper that detailed how the ceremony was going to work but the registrar decided to use very different wording which caused some confusion and laughs all round.
After the ceremony we went to SATORi suhi bar in Kingston and then for a stroll past the Thames. A very simple but special day.

先週のすばらしく良いお天気だった４月２２日土曜日、私たちは役所の方々と４人の素敵な友達の見守る中、誓いの言葉を交わしました。当初頂いた紙に書かれた３種類の宣誓の中から、私たちは一つ選んで準備していたのですが、当日役所の方はその紙に書かれていない物で進行し、そのことによりびっくりしたのとおかしいのとで式は和やかに進みました。
式の後私たちはKingstonにある『さとり』という寿司バーに行き、飲み、食べ、その後テムズ川沿いにあるパブへと練り歩きました。
とてもシンプルですが特別な日になりました。
Ik wist dat Chizuru voor mij was toen zij voor de eerste keer uit Japan naar Engeland reisde om mij te ontmoeten.
Afgelopen zaterdag de 22ste van April 2006 hebben wij onze trouw geloftes maakte met 4 vrienden en de notaris als getuigen.
Het was de eerste echte warme dag en na de trouwerij zijn we naar SATORi, een Japans Sushi restaurant, gegaan opgevold door een lekkere wandeling langs de Thames.
Een zeer eenvoudige maar speciale dag.
